ヴェゾン・ラ・ロメーヌの近くに位置する美しい村、ヴァンソーブルのテロワールが大好きです。畑は標高約300メートルでほぼ台地です。シラーの栽培に適しており、南のエリアで失われがちなフィネスを保ち、スミレや燻製肉、ブラックベリーのフレーバーが特徴です。グルナッシュにもふさわしいいテロワールで、フルボディーですが重くなく、ブラックチョコ、チェリー、ガリーグのアロマを感じます。
ヴィンテージ
ここ近年でもっとも乾燥した長い冬から始まったヴィンテージで、春は感じられませんでした。気候変動によりブドウの成熟は非常に遅く、少ない収量の中で良い品質のブドウを得る為に、ワインメーカーの仕事は重要なものとなりました。2013年はややこしい年でしたが、素晴らしいバランスを備えた非常に期待のできるヴィンテージです。
概要
南ローヌで最も北に位置する畑です。ペラン家は約60ヘクタールの1区画の畑を所有しています。平均標高300メートルの斜面と台地に位置します。

テロワール
傾斜地は石と砂を含んだ泥灰土、台地は石の多い沖積層。
熟成
100％除梗し、シラーは先の細くなった円錐型の木桶で醸され、ピジャージュ（櫂入れ）とルモンタージュが施されます。グルナッシュにはステンレス・タンクが用いられます。シラーの一部は1年樽で熟成させます。マロラクティック発酵後に、2つのワインをブレンドし、リリース前に6ヶ月瓶熟させます。

テイスティング
標高の高いテロワール、この年のヴァンソーブルは特にミネラルを強く表現 している。シラーが主体でフレッシュ感、ブラック・フルーツの瑞々しさと 胡椒のようなスパイスを表している。口当たりはフル・ボディ、洗練された エレガントなタンニンが骨格を与える。ミネラルを感じるフィニッシュは余 韻と持久力をこのヴィンテージにもたらしている。
