The vintage
In 2013 the winter was long and dry followed by a cold and wet spring and important climatic variations up until harvest. Thanks to a lot of hard work in the vineyard throughout the year, the grapes reached perfect maturity.
The 2013 vintage is characterised by a low yield but is very promising.

Advice
Tasting
Beautiful pale pink colour.
An intense nose lead by white flowers, little red berries, freshly crushed strawberries and notes of ripe Morello cherries.
The mouth has a beautiful bouquet; round and soft with aromas of cherries, wild strawberries and a mineralilty representative of the Terroir giving the wine great freshness and a slight saltiness.
The wine has length and great balance between the fruit and the minerality with complex aromas of wild herbs, limestone and rich citrus fruit.

Reviews
This second vintage with the Perrin Family is confident from the off - no need to hawk for customers with an overly seductive blush, this is all about pale, barely-there pinks, charmingly pretty in colour. Lovely floral nose, soft fragrant roses, and from the first taste there is a delicate structure that deepens through the palate. The fruit is on the fresh summer red spectrum - redcurrants, rosehips, a dash of lime zest and wild raspberries rather than the sweet cherries of some rosés, with a savoury herbal edge. But, as the French would say *'il y a du vin'* - meaning that there is a sense of power alongside the elegance, a structure and a fresh acidity that gives the wine persistency, with a grip of minerality that gives a delicious mouthwatering finish. Already in 2012 there was a feeling of restraint and pared down elegance that hadn't been apparent before. The 2013 takes that even further and for me is a truly successful wine. 91 points. Highly recommended."

"Celebrity ownership is not enough to get my recommendation as my Wine of the Week: it has to be good, and this typically pale and elegant Provence pink really is. There are notes of lemon balm, thyme and redcurrant on the nose, and a fresh and precise palate, with good raspberry and rose-hip, very delicate flavours, and a lovely food-friendly and dry acidity in the finish." "Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Provençal estate actually makes very good wine. This has a pleasing pale salmon-pink color, with a nose of subtle red currants and super- concentrated fruit finished with a wonderful silky texture."
A light, pure, steely style, with a rose petal and strawberry core, featuring white cherry notes backed by savory and stony hints on the finish. The finely beaded acidity lets this stretch out into a sneakily long finish. Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Rolle."
"
Clean, refreshing and classy, the 2013 Cotes de Provence Rose offers up plenty of strawberry and citrus-like aromas and flavors to go with a lightly textured, medium-bodied profile that's perfect for a hot summer day. Made by the Perrin Family (of Chateau Beaucastel), enjoy this beauty over the coming summer."
"
Miraval is the new wine business venture of actor and actresses Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie in association with the famous Perrin family of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their second vintage already, the wine is made in their summer vacation property in Provence, France.
Aromas of citric fruits such as orange with strawberries. Also notes of cantaloupe and melon. In addition, floral touches of lavender, garrigue and white flowers. In the mouth, medium to full body with a very elegant profile. Very floral finale."

"The second vintage from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wine estate in southeast France is a spectacular rosé from an unspectacular year. Made by the Perrin family of the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate Château de
Beaucastel, the 2013 Château Miraval rosé is elegant and fresh, with a scent of wild strawberries. I could drink this very serious rosé all summer long."

Pale orange. Fresh tangerine, strawberry and white flowers on the fragrant, mineral-accented nose. Silky and precise, offering tangy red fruit flavors that are lifted and sharpened by a white pepper nuance. Finishes clean, nervy and long, with EXCELLENT CLARITY and lingering minerality. This suave wine has the power to work with rich foods and the energy to give pleasure by itself."
"
Bulbous magnum. This is the famous Brad'n'Janet – sorry, Brad and Jolie – wine. It is by far the most vinous of this range. Serious wine with a beginning, middle and end and a dry finish after some savour. A hint of smokiness on the end. Well done, Perrins."

"El resultado no puede ser mejor. Perrin, que es en realidad la familia que lo elabora, consigue un caldo rosa pastel a la vista que revela gran frescor, presencia de frutos rojos y cierto vegetal en el olfato para en el paladar entrar elegantemente, con cuerpo y gran presencia frutal. Pinceladas organolépticas complejas con las que el Miraval Rosé 2013 deslumbra. Un vino elegante donde los haya, un rosado fino y estiloso que sin duda es fruto de la Provence." [+]
"The second vintage wine from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, 2013 Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé (from $20) is made from a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah grapes grown on the power couple’s French estate. The blushing beauty features lovely aromas of flowers, red berries and strawberries." [+]
"Ok, so it's a celebrity bottling but the truth is that Angelina and Brad have poured $60 million into this rundown estate and turned it around. This lightly pink rosé is a stunning sipper. Its dry tangerine coolness is splendid." [+]
"Miraval, Brangelina's new line of French wines from the Rhône Valley, I'm willing to make an exception, because this is a pretty spectacular wine. The couple has partnered with Famille Perrin, a noted producer of wines at their own Chateau Beaucastel. The resulting flagship product is Miraval Rosé 2013 A.O.C Côtes de Provence which has received several 90-plus scores from the wine press. [...] The distinctly designed bottle contains a lovely pale pink wine that exhibits delicate floral, citrus and red-berry notes on the nose." [+]
"Rosé from France's Provence region is considered the benchmark in the category. Miraval's crisp and seductively aromatic version is one of the best."
