Presentation
Miraval rosé is a wonderful blend of fruits aromas and freshness, made on an exceptional terroirs in Provence
The vintage
The 2018 vintage is a ray of Provencal sunshine, thanks to the region’s particularly generous climate and nature. The rains at the beginning of the season meant the vines were well-prepared and grew healthily in the spring. This is an exacting time during which we need to be constantly in the vineyard, keeping an eye on things, and the work is painstaking and meticulous. The warm and sunny summer we then enjoyed in Provence enabled the grapes to mature perfectly and harvesting conditions were ideal. This 2018 vintage is a rich one indeed, full of fruit and a fine freshness.

Advice

Tasting
Pretty petal pink colour with shiny undertones. This 2018 vintage instantly reminds of Provence with its beautiful aromas of fresh fruit and spring flowers. Airy and balanced, it delicately combines great freshness and complexity, and develops saline and mineral notes. Its long and intense finish is the signature of a rosé with incomparable elegance: Miraval.

Reviews

"They don’t make rosé, although one of the most famous CDP producers, the Perrin family, produces the excellent and phenomenally successful Miraval, better known as Brangelina’s wine." [+]

"De belles notes de fruits rouges et florales avec en bouche une acidité bien présente et de légers tannins bien dociles. Belle sensation de minéralité. J’ai senti que le vin évoluait vers un rosé de table. On le boira autant en apéritif qu’en accord avec des mets." [+]

"Freshly picked red fruit, spring flowers and clean, mouth-watering acidity come together to make another exemplary Provençal rosé from the Perrin Family, showing, yet again, why Miraval is at the top of its class."

"Bottled just a few weeks before my visit, Miraval's 2018 Cotes de Provence Rose was in fine form. A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 10% Rolle, it boasts floral and melon aromas, while on the palate, it's medium-bodied, plump and fleshy, with a zesty, tangerine-tinged finish."

"Les propriétaires ont beau être de grosses vedettes hollywoodiennes (Angelina Jolie et Brad Pitt, pour ne pas les nommer), c’est surtout l’âme du Château de Beaucastel que l’on trouve dans ce rosé provençal. Un 2018 peut-être un peu plus convenu que par le passé, mais qui possède un équilibre indéniable et une buvabilité contagieuse." [+]

"Celebrity rosés are almost as prevalent as pink wine itself. Perhaps the first, and certainly the most famous, is Miraval, from Provence, the brand of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Produced in partnership with the Perrin family of Chateauneuf-du-Pape fame, the wine has been a market sensation since its introduction with the 2012 vintage. Despite their very public split, Brangelina remain involved with the brand, which now includes a second rosé called Studio and two white wines." [+]

"Pale brilliant orange. Bright and sharply focused on the mineral-driven nose, displaying intense citrus pith, strawberry, pomegranate and floral qualities. Taut and sharply delineated on the palate, offering an array of fresh red berry and citrus fruit flavors that turn spicier on the back half. Shows outstanding clarity and mineral cut on the persistent finish, which leaves a suave candied lavender note behind.""

""A mineral-driven rosé, with wet stone and dried herb notes echoing through the delicate white cherry and tangy raspberry flavors, showing good focus through the crisp finish. Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Tibouren. Drink now. 130,000 cases imported.""
