Reviews

"2012 Perrin Family Reserve Rosé (Cotes du Rhone, France). The least-seen hue in the Perrin Family’s reliable “step up” from their ubiquitous (and solid) La Vieille Ferme brand, the rosé uses a high percentage of the southern French specialty Cinsaut grape for this especially succulent, wickedly versatile sipper. Perhaps it’s the soft pinkish-orange color that tricks the mind to look for orange blossoms and orange sherbet in the aroma. But both are there, in a lovely and captivating drink. $11."
"Pale lipstick pink. Some fermentation aromas. Quite a bit of chew and much firmed and drier on the finish than the Vieille Ferme counterpart."

"(made from cinsault, syrah, grenache and mourvèdre): Light orange. Spice-accented red berry and cherry aromas show good clarity and pick up a subtle floral quality with aeration. On the palate, juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are given a refreshingly bitter edge by a suggestion of orange zest. Closes on a spicy note, with good energy and a lingering hint of white pepper."
