Considered as one of the greatest white wines in France, only 6000 bottles of this wine are produced. It's made with 100% very old Roussanne vines and harvested slightly over ripe. This exceptional wine must be drunk within 3 years or after 15 years. To be enjoyed with gastronomic cuisine.
The vintage
After a mild start to the year followed by a very hot and dry summer, the 2025 harvest turned out to be one of the earliest in recent years, beginning as early as August 19. Although the vines experienced water stress, the much needed rain that fell between mid-August and late September, 326 mm in just a few weeks, almost as much as during the first seven months of the year, was a relief. This delayed the harvest by a few days, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness and perfect concentration. By the end of the harvest, yields were very satisfactory and the sanitary condition of the grapes was remarkable. The first tastings reveal wines that are particularly fruity, complex, and perfectly balanced, signs of a highly promising vintage.This second harvest in our new winery also enabled us to continue our approach of continuous improvement by conducting various trials: fining of white wines, tests on the filtration of lees, optimisation of pressing, and new methods for integrating stems during fermentation.A harmonious, smooth, and well-organized campaign, reflecting the potential of this 2025 vintage.
Location
Château de Beaucastel has 7 hectares planted with white varieties.
Terroir
Molasse seabed of the Miocene period covered by diluvial alpine deposits (rolled pebbles).
Ageing
The grapes are hand picked in small cases and sorted, pneumatically pressed. Settling of the juices and fermentation (30% in oak, 70% tanks). Bottled after 8 months.

Tasting
Superb, deep, and intense golden robe. Powerful and complex, the nose is particularly seductive, allying springtime notes of honey, acacia flower, and almond with earthier aromas such as white truffle, true reflections of the terroir and the unique deep rooting of these century-old vines. The palate reveals a buttery, highly mouth-coating character with a silky texture, prolonging the exceptionally rich and opulent nature of the Roussanne. This is remarkably balanced by a prized bitterness and the expression of the limestone on which these vines are planted, imparting immense freshness. The finish is of exceptional length, showcasing a perfect balance within the triptych of richness, bitterness, and salinity. A great vintage for Roussanne, which flourishes beautifully on this exceptional terroir.
