La Vieille Ferme Rosé has everything you would expect from a good rosé wine. Fruit, freshness and a beautiful colour. Ideal as an aperitif or with a meal amongst friends…
The vintage
In 2010, all the right conditions were united to produce an exceptional vintage.
The heavy rainfall during the spring, followed by a very hot summer and an Indian summer in September allowed for great harvest conditions.
This vintage produced very balanced wines with intense notes of fruit and great finesse.

Reviews
"As long as I have written about wine, this gem has existed. It's made by Perrin Family of Château de Beaucastel fame in the Rhône Valley or France. At top price of 9$, it can make you look a genius if you offer it with nibbles to guests, or pour it with seafood or roasted chicken or pork. It's bone-dry, with a floral nose and hints of aniseed and brown sugar, and cherry fruit. It's a blend of grenache, syrah and cinsault. Pour just a smidge in tulip-shaped glasses and friends will think you a wine goddess."
"Pale rose-petal colour. Smells quite open and broad. They will move to the 2011 as soon as it’s legal to do so, on 15 December 2011. Acidity starting to dominate fruit now."
Juicy and fresh, with loads of light cherry, underbrush, and crushed stone like minerality, the 2010 La Vieille Ferme Ventoux Rosé, a mix of Grenache and Cinsault, is medium-bodied, shows excellent acidity, and a pleasantly tart, clean finish. A good rosé, it should be consumed over the coming 6-12 months."
"
Medium pink color. Fruity and lightly floral in character, dry, and full bodied; an excellent rosé with a medium long finish."
