The other Châteauneuf of the family! For the most part Les Sinards is made from the young vines at Beaucastel and a neighbouring vineyard we farm. Mostly Grenache, this is a classic Châteauneuf du Pape.

Presentation
The family’s other Châteauneuf! Les Sinards comes from the young vines at Beaucastel and from a neighbouring vineyard that we farm.
The vintage
The vintage started with a long winter and one of the driest ones in the past years followed by an inexistent Spring. The crop development was very slow due to important climatic variations. The winemakers’ work was therefore crucial to get good quality grapes in small quantities. 2013 was a complicated vintage and late but is wonderfully balanced and is very promising.

Tasting
This year Syrah and Mourvedre presented beautifully. Harvested at perfect maturity, the Grenache brings power and body to this vintage. Our 2013 has more of a northern style than southern. Rich, deep colours, the nose has complex notes of black fruit and cocoa, tobacco and mild spices. The mouth is full-‐bodied and long, the tannins are rich and soft with a beautiful persistent finish.

Reviews
This wine presents an intriguing blend of ripe tomato, dried herbs and Dutch cocoa on the nose, then follows that up with plenty of weight and richness on the palate. It’s a savory rather than fruity version of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a long, finely textured finish. Ready to drink now."
"
Brilliant ruby-red. Deep-pitched, smoke-tinged aromas of black raspberry and cherry, along with hints of licorice and cracked pepper. Broad, supple bitter cherry and dark berry flavors become sweeter with air, showing very good energy and back-end lift. Finishes sweet, smoky and long, with harmonious tannins and an echo of peppery spices."
"
Silky, elegant and polished with ripe raspberry and spice; juicy, fresh and balanced with style and grace; tangy and complete with excellent depth and refinement.
