Fresh, fruity and colored... The La Vieille Ferme rosé presents all of the elements of an attractive rosé
Presentation
Presentation
La Vieille Ferme Rosé has everything you would expect from a good rosé wine. Fruit, freshness and a beautiful colour. Ideal as an aperitif or with a meal amongst friends…
The vintage
2012 is a vintage of contrasts with a very mild start of the year and a freezing month of February.
A fresh and humid spring, followed by a windy and dry month of July and a very hot month of August.
The harvesting conditions were ideal. All these conditions make a great vintage.

Reviews
"If you like it pink, come here and drink. This one is very full, mouth-filling and hearty; it’s made from Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault of the southern Rhone Valley. The label calls for “aniseed and brown sugar”; don’t see it myself, but whatever it may be, it sure is tasty and refreshing. If you’ve had it with wimpy, flabby rosés, this will set you back on track again."
"From the foothills of the mighty Mont Ventoux and home to varietals Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, the Perrin Family, producers of the famed Château de Beaucastel, know serious wine. Floral red berries burst into a confected notes with cherry-like lollies dancing in the background. A mouth feel of sweet fruit sweeps across the palate, lifting with strawberries and cream, with a dryish finish. An easy drinking crowd pleaser."
Pale pink; floral and smooth with juicy raspberry and strawberry, fresh and dense, bright and balanced. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault."

"Rosé is easily one of the most versatile wines you can buy as it quite literally goes with just about any food you can muster and it is made in styles ranging from a bit sweet to bone dry. There are few wines that complement a picnic better or summertime fare in general and the pairing possibilities are nearly endless. Rosé is also brilliant for Thanksgiving and other festive holidays as well, anywhere there’s a bounty of food selections at the table.
On the nose: Cherries, watermelon, white pepper, rhubarb, a pinch of raspberry, huckleberry and a trail of loganberries.
On the palate: A stellar combination of watermelon, strawberry and raspberry, which all blend very harmoniously into a finished wine that’s very pleasant
On the palate. It has just enough sweetness to pair with spicier foods and yet enough dryness to make it very food- friendly."
