This wine is fleshy and mineral at the same time with aromas of white-flesh fruit, small peaches and almonds. A balance which gives this wine a unique sensation.
Presentation
The vintage
In Provence, the 2024 vintage was marked by complex climatic conditions, requiring constant vigilance and attention in the vineyard. Frost in May, hail in July and then a cool and slightly rainy September favoured slow ripening of the grapes. This allowed us to obtain aromatic and fresh wines, with a well-preserved natural acidity, but with paler colour than usual, a consequence of a lower ph. The first tastings reveal fresh and dense aromas, accompanied by a nice complexity on the palate, full of flavours and saline at the same time. Tangy and fruity, without any harshness, particularly pleasant and easy to drink.
Location
Chateau Miraval is one of the only estates in Provence to have its own private valley on the Commune of Correns to the north of Brignoles. The vineyard covers two appellations: Coteaux Varois en Provence (at the north-west) and Cotes de Provence (at the East of the estate).
Terroir
The vineyard is planted on a gentle slope (between 5% and 9%) on clay and limestone soils. The sub-soils are known as Keuper marl. This particular clay is known to have a low internal surface area and is particularly
adapted to great white varietals.

Advice
Tasting
Seductive, clear pale-gold colour with golden highlights. Very delicate and fresh, the nose is dominated by notes of white flowers and acacia, before evolving towards aromas of citrus fruit, such as lemons and citrons and almonds. Ample, round and suave, the palate is balanced between freshness and complexity with tasty citrus aromas, underlined by notes of white flowers. The long saline finish brings great freshness to this very elegant wine.
Food pairings
