Er gilt als einer der besten Weißweine in Frankreich, nur 6000 Flaschen dieses Weines werden hergestellt. Hergestellt zu 100% von sehr alten Rebstöcken des Roussanne, geerntet leicht über dem Reifepunkt. Dieser außergewöhnliche Wein muss innerhalb 3 Jahren oder nach 15 Jahren getrunken werden. Genießen zu gastronomischer Küche.
Der Jahrgang
Eine schonungslose Auslese im Weinberg ließ den Jahrgang 2008 sehr klein ausfallen, durchschnittlich etwa 50% weniger. Dieser Jahrgang hat einen 'nordischen' Touch mit Aromen von Veilchen und Gewürzen. Das Ergebnis ist ein schwerer Wein, jedoch sanft mit einer bemerkenswerten Eleganz. Ein außergewöhnlicher Wein!

Château de Beaucastel hat 7 Hektar in weißen Reben bepflanzt.
Terroir
Molasse Meeresböden des Miozän mit Alpinen Ablagerungen bedeckt
Reife
Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet und in kleine Kisten sortiert, pneumatisch gepresst. Absetzen der Säfte und Reifung (30% in der Eiche, 70% Tanks). Abgefüllt nach 8 Monaten.

Beautiful golden colour.
The nose is slightly woody with an explosion of honey, peaches, exotic fruit and an exceptional richness and intensity.
The mouth has a remarkable texture, thick but fresh. We find notes of white flowers and honeysuckle, lavender, honey and orange zest. The balance is perfect especially with the minerality, coming from the limestone, gives this wine a great texture. A great vintage of Roussanne Vieilles Vignes.
