6000本の生産量しかないこのワインは、フランスの白ワインの最高峰の一つとして認められています。ルーサンヌ100%で造られ、やや過熟したブドウを収穫します。3年以内の若いうち、もしくは15年以上寝かせてから飲むのが良いでしょう。素晴らしいお料理と合わせてお楽しみ下さい。
ヴィンテージ
ここ近年でもっとも乾燥した長い冬から始まったヴィンテージで、春は感じられませんでした。気候変動によりブドウの成熟は非常に遅く、少ない収量の中で良い品質のブドウを得る為に、ワインメーカーの仕事は重要なものとなりました。2013年はややこしい年でしたが、素晴らしいバランスを備えた非常に期待のできるヴィンテージです。
概要
シャトー・ド・ボーカステルは7ヘクタールの白ブドウの畑を所有しています。
テロワール
アルプスの洪積層(丸い石)に覆われた中新世の海洋性砂岩。
熟成
良いブドウだけを厳選しながら手摘みで収穫します。空気圧を使ったプレスで圧搾し澱引き。30%は木樽、70%はステンレス・タンクで発酵させ、8ヶ月後ボトリング。

A big step up over the classic cuvee (which isn’t always a given), the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is 100% Roussanne from ancient vines, some of which are over 100 years in age. A deeper, richer version of the traditional cuvee, it reveals a medium-gold color to go with sensational notes of white currants, quince, brioche, honeysuckle and lemon curd. Now 11 years old, this is taking on some colour, a touch of gold. Lovely open nose of almond, quince jelly and poached pears, which are repeated on the palate, with a touch of saffron to the pear fruit. Delightful sense of tension, it’s very fresh, saline and beginning to take on mineral notes. It smells 'like opening a beehive’, according to winemaker César Perrin. Lovely sense of freshness and tension, it has now arrived at its mineral phase and is drinking brilliantly. From a single parcel of Roussanne, planted in 1919 and grown biodynamically."
