Vinsobres est certainement un des plus beaux Crus du Sud de la Vallée du Rhône.
Le millésime
2009 est un grand millésime dans la Vallée du Rhône Sud. Il combine un très joli fruit, une bouche ample et harmonieuse, une finale friande et se caractérise par une structure de tanins très fins.
Situation
Le vignoble se situe à 20 km au Nord de Châteauneuf-du-Pape à une altitude d'environ 300 m bénéficiant d'un climat frais adapté à la Syrah. Les Hauts de Julien sont issus d'une très vieille parcelle de vignes (environ 90 ans) co-plantée de Syrah et de Grenache.

Alluvion quaternaires caillouteuses en terrasse.
Élevage
15% en barrique pendant un an. Pas de filtration avant mise en bouteille. A la cave Perrin & Fils, de façon traditionnelle.

"The Perrin et Fils 2009 Cotes du Rhone-Villages-Vinsobres Vieilles Vignes Les Hauts Julien is the most brilliant wine produced in Vinsobres. The Perrins now own 140 acres in Vinsobres, and this is the best selection of the oldest vines. I recently had a bottle of the 2007 at the wonderful New Orleans restaurant, Herbsaint, and while it was still young, it was a brilliant expression of cool climate, high elevation Grenache and Syrah. Made from equal parts Grenache and Syrah, the 2009 hits all the palate’s sweet spots offering up notes of graphite, truffles, blueberries, blackberries, licorice and camphor. Full-bodied with crisp acidity, wonderful purity and vivid freshness and delineation, it should drink well for 10-15+ years."

Fragrant and fruity but not jumping up and down – much more assured, even at this stage. Dense, almost stern in its concentration but also elegant and fresh. A testament to old vines. Only 6,000 bottles. Perrin's Vinsobres look really good in 2009"

"Un vin fruité, harmonieux, élégant, riche et gourmand. Le nez révèle des notes de fruits rouges (cerise, framboise), de fruits noirs (mûre, cerise noire), d'épices et plus légèrement de truffe. La bouche est minérale, marquée par son terroir, fine, dense, gourmande et précise. On y retrouve des notes de fruits rouges mûrs, de cassis et de cerise noire. Egalement quelques notes d'épices. Jolie persistance en bouche."
