Der Jahrgang
Der Jahrgang 2011 ist ein Jahrgang der Kontraste. Ein ungewöhnlich heißer und trockener Frühling gefolgt von einem nassen und regnerischen Juli und dann einem Altweibersommer, der bis Ende Oktober andauerte. Sorgfältige Aussortierung ebenso wie sorgfältiges Abbeeren machten aus der Ernte einen Spitzenjahrgang, vor allem was die Sorten, die spät geerntet wurden, angeht.
Lage
Die Weinberge liegen an den Hängen des Mont Ventoux. Die Höhenlage bietet Frische, die für einen guten Säuregehalt der Trauben sorgt. Der Wein ist also frisch, fruchtig und ausgewogen.
Terroir
Dies variiert je nach Höhenlage, besteht aber zum größten Teil aus Ablagerungen aus der Basis des
kalkhaltigen Mont Ventoux während der Meere des Tertiär. Rote Mittelmeer Böden gemischt mit Kreideschutt und runden Steinen.

Reife
Wein, Rebsorte und Produzent angepasst. Fast alle Trauben werden leicht zerkleinert und in Zementtanks von 150 und 300 Hektoliter fermentiert. Die Fermentation ist klassisch und umfassend.
