A light fruity rosé!
Presentation
Presentation
La Vieille Ferme Rosé has everything you would expect from a good rosé wine. Fruit, freshness and a beautiful colour. Ideal as an aperitif or with a meal amongst friends…
The vintage
The 2011 vintage is a vintage of contrasts. That is to say an unusually hot, dry spring followed by a wet and rainy beginning of July and then an Indian summer lasting until the end of October. Carefully sorting and destemming the harvest allowed for a great vintage, particularly for the late harvest varieties.
Location
Situated on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, the vineyard benefits from a cooler climate than down in the plain. The grapes mature slowly and maintain a good acidity. The wine is rich, fresh and balanced.
Terroir
Terroir aound the village of Caromb, at the foot of Mont Ventoux.
Ageing
Direct pressing allows to pick at a low alcohol level. This also allows to produce a light coloured rosé, without extracting the phenolic components. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve elegance.
