Petite parcelle de moins d'un hectare de vignes pré-phylloxériques (environ 100 ans). Les rendements sont faibles puisque la production est limitée à 1 500 bouteilles/an.
Le millésime
2017 restera l’année de tous les records : année la plus sèche depuis 30 ans, travaux viticoles très peu interventionnistes, conditions de vendange optimales, quantité très réduite en raison des aléas climatiques et vins au potentiel très riche.

Au Sud-Ouest de l’appellation, au cœur du vignoble historique de Gigondas.

Sol sablonneux.
Élevage
La récolte est manuelle. À l’arrivée en cave les raisins sont triés et encuvés dans des cuves tronconiques de 50hl. Les Grenaches sont éraflés contrairement aux Syrahs. Après une phase de macération, la fermentation débute. L’extraction et la température sont pilotées selon la dégustation quotidienne. Nous travaillons les cuves par pigeages ou remontages. La cuvaison se poursuit au-delà de la fermentation. Après le décuvage, les vins sont élevés pendant un an et demi dans des foudres.

Dégustation
Le millésime 2017 issu de 100% Grenache, présente déjà un nez complexe (fruits noirs, notes fumées et épices douces) et une bouche riche et puissante, avec des tanins soyeux et délicats. La finale est longue, équilibrée, d’une belle fraîcheur et des fruits légèrement confits.
